Hi,
I am interested in Pay per Review for my app, however, I cannot pay using PayPal. Do you offer any other payment methods?

Unfortunately we do not offer anything else besides Paypal. Why can you not use paypal? You do not need an account, all you need is a credit card, and you can pay through Paypal.

The Pay Per Review page says "Availability: A new post cannot be submitted for another 7". What does this mean?

That has been fixed. We initially limited it to only one submission per day, but we removed that limit, so now you are free to submit multiple apps or multiple submissions.

FYI,
There is a typo on your site!
"- You review will forever be on the iPhone App Review category on FreshApps."
should be
"- Your review will forever be on the iPhone App Review category on FreshApps."
Did I find the Easter egg? Do I get a free review? J/k
Great site guys!

I don't see where prospective purchasers are informed that you remove negative reviews at developer request. Looks like an attempt to mislead – I certainly won't be sending you any money for a 'review'

This is only if the developer pays them to get there app reviewed and doesn't like the review, they can ask that it doesn't get posted, but there out the money.

Exactly right JBullFrog. We are trying to keep the reviewers honest. A developer may pay for a service (getting an iPhone App reviewed) but that does not guarantee them a good app review. It buys them an honest review, which is worth more than $100, to the developer, the author, and it's readers knowing that positive FreshApps rating and reviews cannot be bought.

For those of us who might consider purchasing a review, can you let us know what the approximate readership is this site is?

I was trying to submit an app to be reviewed, but I kept getting an error message:
"Please enter a proper description of the post you want written"
I add some text in the post details box, but still got this message. Did I miss something?

My identity was compromised through PayPal. If J. Hamon is in the same boat as I am, that could be why he can't use PayPal. I won't use them anymore ever. Too bad you don't offer an alternative.

I honestly don't see how you can claim to be "honest" in your reviews when you are requiring developers to shell out money to get a review. Clearly, you only consider developers who can afford to pay your fee worth reviewing, and if you piss them off with a bad review, they won't be back. If you need more money, then sell more ad space and work on growing your readership. Keep the journalistic side of things free, otherwise you lose any trust your readers have in your reviews.

Chris,
Actually it is very simple to keep the reviews "honest". It's because we (Freshapps) do not review the apps. We have a couple of authors that enjoy writing reviews of apps for the iphone. Those authors are the ones that write the reviews, it's a passion for them and hey would do it just for fun!
But with that said, I do understand where you are coming from. It reminds me a little of the movie "Good Night & Good Luck" and the speech Murrow gave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cfwsfGqgPM
Either way, we are in no way trying to confuse, obfuscate, lie, or deceive our readers nor those who patronize us. We just came to a decision to offer a service that benefits both, FreshApps and iPhone App Developers.

I can understand the concern. However, as a developer, I wouldn't pay to have an app reviewed without the option of determining it's publication. Consider it more like paying for a service and publishing the work result is at my discretion. I think freshapps has provided a reasonable comprise.

It would be most helpful if the reviews included the price and a direct purchase link. I would have purchased two apps today just reading the reviews. However, now the momentum is gone and I've forgotten their exact names. Often the price will remove all hesitation to purchase as well. I'm not likely to pursue an app I have a casual interest in without these two pieces of information.

I would like to know as well – please reply!

Same here. That's a really important number for devs to know. Please inform.

We upgraded the reviews to show the FreshApps information on the app above the actual review. Here is an example:

We have been wanting to fix that problem for a while. It will take us a couple of days to update all of the reviews.

Is there anyone here to is giving honest and useful feedback or just people complaining? I know many people who would pay for a review if it produces the results they are looking to achieve. If you think like a programmer while trying to market your product then you will most likely be the only person to ever buy it. Besides, their alexa ranking shows that they know a little something about what they are doing.

Sounds fishy to me. FreshApps is leaving my bookmarks… I don't trust this site anymore.

I am trying to sign up up the pay per review, but I keep seeing the error message
"Please enter a proper description of the post you want written"
I have filled in all the fields, but I can't get this thing to work. What is supposed to go into the description field? Does it have to be a certain length?
