Tweetie is pretty sexy isn’t it? I love the developer, he’s a total ass, but he makes me laugh and generally has a good point. =)
I like the icon design for this better. though since it’s coming from the icon factory I’m not really surprised at that. I might end up making my own icon for tweetie… we will see when I get some free time.

Well, Tweetie is not free (2,99$) so for non > 18 years old users, Twitterrific is better =p

For free twitter apps, I would recommend Twittelator over tweetie, but really it’s just personal preference at that point because all the decent free twitter clients are relatively the same.

If u can’t fork out 3 bucks for this app (u r lame), twitterfon is a much better free twitter client

It’s interesting how much of the discussion about Twitterific is centered on Tweetie.
I used to use Twitterific, and it’s a great *free* Twitter client. However, I’d recommend Tweetie over Twitterific even though Tweetie is paid. It takes a lot for me to recommend a paid app over a free one that performs essentially the same function/s, but in this case it’s totally worth it – Tweetie is just that one level above Twitterific in terms of design, interface and functionality.
One thing I really like about Twitterific compared to other free apps is how the ads (required in order to make the app free to the consumer) are subtly integrated into the app, and how they’re for products/services that are relevant to the kinds of hip-to-it web 2.0 people that use Twitter. It’s not very often that you see that much thought put into the ads that consumers usually despise (I’m looking at you, developers of TapDefense).
