Lotto Route is a fun and educational way to pass the time during a drive through France.
France is a big country and it is split into around 100 departments each of which has its own identifying number. For example, Paris is 75.
Look at the cars, vans and lorries you see on the roads of France and you will see that their number plates include the number of the department where the car was registered.
In addition, any foreign vehicle shows which country it comes from on its number plate.
