FreshApps Implements New Commenting System
After doing lots of research into commenting systems that integrate with Wordpress, we have decided to use IntenseDebate. Intense Debate was actually purchased by the company that makes Wordpress called automattic last year.
The problem was that Wordpress has a great commenting system, especially since Wordpress version 2.7 where the comments are threaded. Still the ability to be notified when someone commented on an app, or when someone replied to your comment, was not there. Thus we started looking into 3rd party commenting systems. The major ones that we looked into were:
They all had a wordpress plugin, they all were pretty spiffy, but simply becuase Wordpress bought out Intense Debate, we decided to go with them. We are still working out the bugs, but we think it is great! We really want to encourage great discussions on iPhone apps and iPhone App reviews.
Let us know what you think of the new commenting system!

If you have a FreshApps account, you will automatically be able post a comment. But in order to receive emails for subscriptions, unfortunately you have to get an Intense Debate account. I wish there was a better way to have a robust commenting system AND not have to sign in twice, but just sign-up once for intense debate, and it does a good job of remembering you when your at FreshApps.
ZachSDK, are your problems solved?
