Nice little – free! – App for storing, reading or presenting files. And a good alternative to $6.99 Air Sharing.

I have downloaded files lite to my mac and to my iPhone but can't figure out how to run it from either. Any suggestions?

I figured it out for the Mac: in Finder, click on Go, then on Connect to Server and enter http://192.168.0.1.101:8080. That puts Files lite in a Finder window. From Finder, click on File, then on Open Finder Window. Drag or resize one of the windows so you can view both windows on the screen at the same time. Then drag the file or folder on the second Finder window that you want to put on you iPhone to the Public Folder in the Files Lite window. Done!

I entered my ip on my pc and it said it was invalid. Any suggestions. I typed http://192.168.0.108:8080. I also tried on NetDrive and it didn't work.

I found a subtle bug in wav file playback. If I play a 48KHz wav file containing a 2 KHz tone, the spectrum is different than if I play the same wav file through the ipod touch music library. There is no issue for 44.1KHz wav files. I be happy to help debug.

But, I still love the app. As soon as I hit the limit I'll probably buy the full app.

I had files lite, and it worked ok. Then I got the full version, and now I can't get onto the same IP address that I had no problem with connecting before. So I am tempted just to go back to Files lite.
